PacPost.Live is an advanced iPad and iPhone app designed for high-quality video conferencing with multi-room capabilities. It integrates Apple Pencil tools, enabling users to mark up videos in real-time while collaborating with editors, producers, and directors from anywhere. The app supports managing multiple projects simultaneously and includes AirPlay functionality for seamless content sharing via Apple TV, making remote teamwork more interactive and efficient.
Developing PacPost.Live involved coordinating a multidisciplinary team across iOS, design, backend, and QA. Adapting to evolving client requirements and integrating complex third-party tools, such as Millicast, Apple Pencil Kit, and Twilio, was challenging. Navigating App Store submission hurdles, including subscription management, added complexity to the process.
We began with a focused iPad app implementation, following two sprints, prioritizing the Publisher and Viewer roles. We developed a proof of concept for Millicast SDK integration, collaborating with their support team to enhance it. Twilio Video was integrated for conferencing, alongside chat, collaborative Apple Pencil board, and secure Face ID and 2FA authentication.
We successfully delivered a fully functional MVP for iPad, meeting all core requirements and enabling seamless collaboration. Building on this success, we began development of a new platform for iPhone to expand accessibility. The product has since gained significant traction within the entertainment industry, proving its value for creative teams and remote collaboration.
