Caravela Coffee is a global green coffee trading company that connects coffee producers with roasters around the world. Founded in 2008, the company is known for its strong commitment to transparency, sustainability, and long-term partnerships across the coffee supply chain.
Caravela Coffee needed a system capable of managing complex, industry-specific workflows such as inventory traceability, quality analysis, logistics, and international trade. Existing generic ERP solutions did not provide the flexibility or depth required, which limited operational efficiency and visibility across processes.
We joined the development of Atlas as a custom ERP built with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Redis, taking ownership of an existing codebase and evolving it into a scalable, high-performance, and fully integrated platform. Today, Atlas centralizes inventory management, transportation tracking, contracts, and import and export operations, with seamless integrations to NetSuite and analytics tools such as Power BI.
Atlas enabled Caravela Coffee to streamline operations, improve traceability across the entire coffee lifecycle, and gain better access to business data for decision-making. The flexible architecture allows the system to evolve with the business, supporting continuous process optimization and long-term scalability.
