Dauber is a construction logistics marketplace that connects dump truck fleets with the contractors who need material and debris moved. It covers dispatching, load tracking, payments and the sourcing of construction supplies. CodigoDelSur delivered its cross-platform iOS and Android MVP in about four months and then stayed on the product, adding fleet management, GPS and mileage tracking.
Construction hauling runs on phone calls. A contractor needs eleven trucks on Tuesday, a fleet operator has trucks sitting idle, and the two find each other through a dispatcher and a lot of luck. Replacing that with a marketplace meant building for two very different users at once: the operator managing dispatch and payments from an office, and the driver in the cab who will use one screen and only if it works with one hand.
CodigoDelSur built the marketplace as a cross-platform application, sharing one codebase across iOS and Android so a modest budget could cover both driver and operator on both platforms. The MVP delivered dispatching, load tracking and the connection between contractors and fleets in about four months.
